I like it.

Couple of nitpicks though.

Seems like the bass is a little muddy. It could just be the lame headphones i have to use since I'm away from my good stuff for the holidays, but maybe it's a little distorted even? Not sure, it just didn't sound primo.
The drums seem a little too prevalent in the mix, and I think they could be panned even a little wider.

I love the piano.

The guitar feels a little 'hollow' almost. How did you mic it? Almost sounds like it was mic'd from the rear... I dunno. I'd love more brightness out of it. (I usually do a small diaphragm condenser right at the 12th fret, and another towards the sound hole if I can.)

On the whole though, the track fits together very well and could do with maybe just a little polish. A bit of delay/reverb here or there as it all feels dry, that sort of thing.

In the end, I like it. Good work!

Thanks man for the advice!

I didn't use any real instruments. I pobably doing all my music on Audacity.

You're right about the bass part. Either way it was kinda hard to hear it anyway.

So have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Meh.

Your tone might be decent if you mic'd up the amp a little nicer. It's very muffled with some unfortunate room noise.

Musically, it feels like you had a few different ideas and just tried to stuff them together, and it wasn't very successful.

There's nothing about the track to actually draw my interest, there's a lot of repetition without the presentation of new ideas.

Pretty cool

You guys took a very different tack than the other auras, but I think I kind of like the idea of a medley. It's certainly interesting to say the least.

Hellz yeah!

This turned out pretty sweet guys.

Sweet!

You neutrals pulled together a badass piece of music!

I love the transitions and variety. The instrumentation is excellent throughout.

Woah!

Fuck that's brutal.

What kind of equipment are you using to get those ripping gallops?

Devastus responds:

I'm not sure whether I used Amplitube or Guitar Rig, but either of those, line-in with a mixer in-between. Recording with good equipment would probably be better but hey, I'm a poor student and I'll have an excuse of getting into the digital times with that :P

Also a good guitar will help with these (and EQing a little bit off from middle).

Thanks for your review.

Pretty sweet

Clearly a rough mix but damn you guys have put together some sweet stuff.

Can't wait for the final mix.

Not so hot.

This is very hard for me to listen to. Your percussion is very abrasive and unpleasant. Your melodies and leads are confused and similarly frustrating to listen to.

I think you need to address your levels and compositional techniques.

WizzardRabbit responds:

Dude. Easy there. I'm still in high school and decent samples are hard to come by these days with all the sue happy people with copyrights. 8 bit sounds are abraisive and all the good melodies have been taken. You tell me what the flip i'm suppposed to do.

Nice!

This is pretty sweet drumming. I kind of lose the kick once the guitar kicks in, but I don't doubt you could remedy that if you wanted to.

I really like the hihat stuff you do. Your snare tone is just right, none of the unfortunate 'boominess' you hear sometimes.

Wicked fills too.

Brutal

I love all the grit.

This is dirty, heavy noise rock at its best.

I'm currently employed as a professional sound engineer, travelling the country with a musical.
